WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Men's Hike & Bike
Guys, come out for a Men's Ministry Bike & Hike on April 27. Meet at 1 pm at the Mt. Gretna Trailhead (Mt Gretna/Mt Wilson Road) and bike or hike with the group along the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail. Enjoy ice cream altogether afterward. And dads, your kids are invited, as well!
Guatemala
Guatemala Fundraiser Dinner
Make plans to purchase a pork dinner on Sunday, May 5, to support the MBIC Guatemala team serving with the Village of Hope this summer. Meals are by donation, and you can eat in or take out. Dinner will be served from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Each pig costs $250. To help cover this cost, contact Pastor Corby.

Manheim Project
Each year, MBIC joins other local churches to serve in our community. This year's Manheim Project is the week of July 22-27. When you register, you will be asked to sign up for the days you can serve and what skills you have to offer. Let's be the hands and feet of Jesus as we flood our community!

Guatemala Team
Manheim BIC is putting together a mission team to serve in Guatemala from August 4 to 10. Help us make a difference in the global community by serving with Village of Hope! Registration closes May 4. Details are online.

Belize Team
Manheim BIC is putting together a team to partner with Fredric and Suzanne Halliday in Punta Gorda, Belize, from October 26 through November 2. The team will do construction work, soccer ministry, youth programming, and support the Halliday Family. Details are online.
April Prayer
Prayer is not a passive response but a powerful answer. From 8:00 to 8:25 am each Sunday in April, the Chapel will be accessible for you to gather with others for prayer. Join together to pray for salvation in our community, the witnessing in our ministries, and our daily lives. Anyone is welcome.
Classes
You're invited to attend a new five-session video series class called "Five Transformative Values that Root Us in the Way of Jesus" beginning May 5. Following Jesus in our world can be a challenge. God calls us into a life of purpose in communion with him, even in the midst of a crazy world.
Women's Ministry
Hey ladies! Come on out for a fun game night TONIGHT playing bunco from 6:30-8:30pm. Bunco is a really easy game to learn, and we'll take a break mid-way through for some snacks and time for connection. We'd suggest bringing a small gift (under $5) for prizes. Come even if you can't bring something, we'll have extra! Can't wait to see you!

CAPITAL DEBT PAYOFF UPDATE

As we shared at the council meeting, our goal is to be completely debt-free this year. We’re inviting everyone in our congregation to prayerfully consider how they might be part of this major milestone in the life of our church. Our current remaining debt is $319,792. If you feel led to contribute, you can give to the capital fund in person or online by going to manheimbic.org/give (please be sure to select “Capital Fund” when giving). Thank you.

For more information on the Capital Debt Payoff, visit manheimbic.org/debtpayoff.
The Hallidays | Belize
Hello from PG!

The weather here continues to be hot and sunny but we had a few more nights of rain this month. School closed for two weeks for Easter Break. During that time, we were able to take our kids out on Fredric's boat to do some fishing.
April is cocoa harvesting season. Our boys spent many days at their grandparent's farm climbing trees, picking the cocoa, opening the pods to get out the seeds, and drying the cocoa. It is a lot of hard work, but they really enjoy it.

The soccer academy continues to keep us busy with practices or games every day of the week. Our open men's team won a local one-day tournament at the end of March. We currently have seven teams in the academy and players range in age from 5 to 35 years old.

Prayer Requests:
  • We want to thank you for your prayers for Kenrick. His US visa was approved and he will be traveling to Ohio in May for six weeks to participate in the Athletes in Action Summer Soccer Camp and play on their open men's team. Please continue to pray that this is a positive experience for him and that his relationship with Christ will be strengthened.
  • Big Picture Soccer has invited ten of our adult players to participate in a soccer camp in Lancaster this summer. Please pray for favor as we are working on applying for their passports and US visas.
  • Pray that we can continue to share God's love with each of the players through the academy.
