In-Person & Online Worship

Starting December 6, 2020

Sunday Worship at MBIC

What to expect: We are aiming for a responsible and welcoming experience in a variety of ways to connect and worship with each other.

  • Arrival: Please park and enter at the recommended areas and go directly to the location of the service you are attending. Our lobbies and hallways have limited space to respect social distancing guidelines.
  • Dismissal: Please move directly to outdoor spaces to visit to ensure adequate space and time to clean between services.
  • Cleaning: We will be cleaning each location after our 9:15am & 10:45am services.

As a church community, we are called to look out for one another, to honor one another above ourselves. Please stay home if you are exhibiting any of the COVID-19 symptoms, if you’ve had close contact with someone that has tested positive for COVID-19, or if you are awaiting a test result. As we each practice care and safety, let’s be sensitive and extend grace to another.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have additional questions please contact Pastor Bryce Taylor or MBIC Leadership Board.

Yes, we will provide a LIVEstream of the 10:45am Sunday service held in the Assembly. The full video will continue to be available for 2 weeks.  A sermon only recording will be archived on the website to view at any time after those 2 weeks.

Only if you attend the 8am service. Masks are optional, but strongly encouraged, starting at 9am. In all spaces, people are welcome to wear masks if they choose to do so. Read mask statement.

The Governor’s office has required masks to be worn indoors and around other households, irrespective of distance. (11.17.2020)

We have preset the rows to allow 6’ between rows. We ask for households to please allow 2 empty chairs between them. Feel free to space yourself out in each of our worship services.

Yes, there are designated restrooms for each worship service area.

Yes, we have Sunday School and childcare for:

  • Infant – 3 year olds during all services*
  • Kids (4 years to 4th grade) during 9:15am
  • Youth (5th-12th grade) during 9:15am
  • Adults during 9:15am (limited class sizes, registration required)

*Childcare provided for Infant through 3 year olds for the 8am & 10:45am services is fully housed in the nursery suite. Capacity will be limited as we work to build a fuller volunteer team. If you are interested in helping us serve in this way click HERE.

Yes, but we will not be passing offering baskets. Instead, there will be offering boxes at the back of the worship area for you to place your offering in either as you enter or as you exit. You may also give online.

We will not be using the traditional registry books, although we hope to get back to this in the future. You can check-in on our app or we have connect cards available at each row for check-in and prayer requests.

Start with our door greeters, they may be able to help.  Additionally, there will be staff positioned in each lobby and ushers in the Assembly.

No, we will now have the mask required service in the Assembly at 8am.

Our spacious lobbies, equipped with LIVE streaming TV’s and comfortable seating, will be available during all service times. Also, our Welcome Center by the Assembly will be designated as a café-style option for all three services.  We will be continually monitoring participation and making adjustments weekly.

Our goal is to dismiss the 8am service by 8:45am to ensure adequate time to leave the building before the crowd for the 9:15am service fills the lobby.

Don’t worry we have extra disposable masks in the main lobby.

Then we invite you to the 9:15 or 10:45 service. We are providing a safe venue to enjoy worship together for those needing and preferring to wear masks. As a united church we stand with this group and wish to make room for everyone in our community to attend.

We will of course monitor Sunday attendance and stay tuned in to what is happening locally with COVID numbers. Our best guess is we will continue with these service times until the end of the school year, and re-evaluate then to see what is our best summer approach.

We are actively working to make as much room as possible in the main Assembly for everyone. Additionally, we will be making extra spaces in our lobby available as needed. This is a good problem to have for us as a church, and we may need to add another service if this trend occurs.

Yes, we are leaving the decision to come back to MBIC up to each individual. We are striving to provide a consistent and welcoming experience in whether you choose to worship with us in person or via LIVEstream.

As weather permits, please use outside spaces to visit with others. We encourage everyone to quickly clear the service areas, lobbies, and hallways following each service to ensure adequate space and time to clean between services.

Yes, the playground will be open and can be used at the parents’ discretion.
