Home-based Worship: Thoughts & Actions

Home-based Worship: Thoughts & Actions

Worship through giving.

We will be responding to the critical needs of our church family and the community as we face the coming weeks together.

For Discussion

The first week of quarantine is behind us. What’s your attitude? What’s your current state of mind? Pastor Bryce reminded us that right now we have the ability to practice what we believe. Practice grace. Practice patience. Practice reliance on God.
In the Quest section (above), the video for the kids shows Jesus’ power over sicknesses and demons. His power has not changed, it is the same today as it was then. Do we believe what we read in God’s word?
As you share in your family we have two activities for you. Ask yourself:
  • What can I do every day to know more about God’s power and love? Read a chapter of the Bible? Start in the New Testament. Memorize one Bible verse per day? Start with Philippians 4:4-5. Or draw a picture of any Bible Story from memory and then explain it to family members? Be creative.
  • Pastor Bryce says that God’s presence in us makes all the difference. How does that make a difference in your thinking? In your loneliness? How does that make a difference in your interaction with your family members? Share your thoughts with a friend. Call, Skype or chat. Get connected and share your faith life.
“Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned.” – Philippians 4:8-9 (NLT)
Blessings to you as you enter the second week of, well a somewhat strange new way of living, at least for now. Tell us your thoughts. Invent new ways of getting connected with each other.
May God bless you all!
