what’s NEXT 10/13/18 Update

Dear Church Family,

It is with great pleasure and thankfulness that I can write to you in response to the Building Expansion project and support as we move ahead on this project.

Your generosity has allowed us to proceed this month and you will begin to see progress from now until the end of 2019.

project funding goals:

So, moving forward we encourage your continued financial support but also the following:

2018 Capital Fund
$400,000
$0 $1,000,000

During our One Service on 9/23 we celebrated an offering of $99,500.  This combined with 2018 Capital Fund collections has totaled $400,000 in 2018 giving.  With many additional year-end pledges collected this month we believe the goal of $1 million collected for Capital Fund is truly in reach.  Thank you!

3-Year (2019-2021) Pledges
$1,300,000
$0 $665,000/year

Over the past three weeks we have received 96 pledges in the amount of $1.3 Million in support of the project. We are overwhelmed by the response and answer to much prayer by both you and the leadership.

A few observations as we review the pledge process.

  • All age groups participated from those under age 12 to those over 70.  It is a strong testimony to the demographics of our membership that all generations are passionate about supporting our children and youth and realizing that they are the future in bringing the word of God to all. Often, adults are strengthened in Christ through their children.
  • We are thankful for individuals that have helped to organize events to raise funds and challenge our giving in proportion to God’s blessing.  When put in that context, generosity has exceeded our expectations.
  • The strength of your commitment and generosity has helped us to approach Bank financing in a positive way.  In these times, Banks go the extra mile for organizations that show such commitment and we are in a position of strength in that regard.
  • In the coming weeks we will also be approaching you with opportunities to support our financial goals with personal loans with market competitive interest rates that will reduce our reliance on Bank financing and focus on our internal options.

But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand. Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you. 1 Chronicles 29:14 & 16

PRAY for our children and adult ministries as they navigate tight spaces and anticipate growth.
PRAY for generosity as we push for additional donations in 2018, and pledges for the next three years.
PRAY for our Finance team as we evaluate the financial options and choose the best course to move ahead.

Again, thank you for your personal commitment in funding and prayer. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
