Reflection/Discussion Questions:
- List the areas you (and your spouse) are presently prioritizing, i.e. jobs, marriage, raising a family, ministry, outreach, etc.
- Are there any other desires that you would also like to see included in your life mission? (For example: purchasing a home, starting a business, starting a small group, etc.)
- Start building your mission statement by incorporating the above areas (from #1 and #2) into a mission paragraph. (See example.)“To love and to serve God; to love and to complement one another in order to see the purposes of God fulfilled in our spouse’s life; to raise our children in the truth of God’s Word – equipping them to live godly lives; to be out of debt; to be people helpers in the body of Christ – be it through worship, leading a small group, reaching out neighbors, etc.; to be an active testimony and witness to the world.”
- What goals can you develop (in writing) that will move you toward your mission statement? List at least one.
- What are some action points you (and your spouse) can take to meet these goals? List at least one.
Clarify:
Does anyone need clarity on something? Are there any big God questions you are wrestling with?
Celebrate:
Celebrate life’s successes and God’s provision. Worship God’s presence. Time to brag about God.

Through the Bible in one Year
Join us in reading through the entire Bible in one year. Each day of this plan guides you through passages from both the Old and New Testaments, allowing you to see connections between the history of our faith, and the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan. Readings average four chapters in length, so it is posible to do. When you use the YouVersion Bible App, you can even have the app read the Bible text to you – very useful when you are in the car or otherwise occupied with your hand.
All you need to do is click the link to the Bible Plan, which should lead you straight to the Bible app. Your two options are now (1) to read the plan on your own, one day at the time. Or (2) you can make it more fun and rewarding, by sharing the plan with one or more friends, and then even “Talk about it”.
