A Season of Preparation

A Season of Preparation

Worship through giving.

Will you partner with us as we respond to the critical needs of our community as we face this season together?

Discussion Prompts

We are neck-deep in the story of Moses. His life was truly inspiring and thought-provoking. Especially his first steps intrigue and challenge us to think.

Within today’s sermon, Pastor Dustin asks some really thought-provoking questions. Questions that apply to Moses, challenged Dustin, and can be pretty challenging for us if we look at them a little closer.

Let me ask you: What would be your answer to each one of those questions? If you really took the time to write down your answer, what would be your individual, specifically tailored answer for YOUR life?

Here are the questions again, sorted, and aligned that we can look into them a little more specific:

  • Were you ever sent off to a new place, or a new environment, in order to gain a new perspective?
  • If you could fix one injustice in this world – what would it be? And how would you go about it?
  • Have you ever been up to no good, and in your head you justified it? But then, you experienced mercy when you deserved wrath. Write down that “Trophy of Grace” story.
  • Where were you in over your head and God bailed you out?
  • Has God ever prepared you for a BIG task? If so, how?

As you answer these questions, be reminded that the “Grace of God” is a defining factor in the application of the answers? Moses became a Trophy of Grace. You can see yourself also as a Trophy of Grace because God’s Grace is for you as well. How did Jimmy Fannin put it again last week? “God uses ordinary people, to do extraordinary things.”

Blessings to you as you live out what God has in store for you!
