Use these notes as discussion prompts for your group, or in your personal time with God.
Connect:
Get to know each other. Connect, warm up to each other, fellowship.
Care:
Carry each other’s burdens. Share life’s challenges and practice Soul Care. Pray together.
Challenge:
Dive into God’s Word. Use these discussion questions. Learn from each other’s insight.
- Is there any area of your life you feel is unclean, or isolated from the touch of Christ?
- Read together Isaiah 61. What phrases stand out to you? Why? What might God be trying to speak to you?
- Is there an area of your life that you currently need God to heal? Pray together as a group for this healing and for faith to trust God’s goodness even there seems to be no answer.
- All of us have places of pain from our past, moments we longed for affirmation and didn’t receive it. This passage shows the affirmation and value Jesus has for us—what words and wounds from your past might you need to exchange to receive the gift Jesus offers?
- In light of Lk. 5:14, what are past areas of your life Jesus has healed, what can you celebrate together?
Clarify:
Does anyone need clarity on something? Are there any big God questions you are wrestling with?
Celebrate:
Celebrate life’s successes and God’s provision. Worship God’s presence. Time to brag about God.
