Use these notes as discussion prompts for your group, or in your personal time with God.
Connect:
Get to know each other. Connect, warm up to each other, fellowship.
Care:
Carry each other’s burdens. Share life’s challenges and practice Soul Care. Pray together.
Challenge:
1. What does it mean to you to live sacrificially? How are you doing that in your own life right now? If we are called to sacrifice for others, what is the evidence that you are truly offering yourself to others for God?
2. Who can you think of in the Bible who lived sacrificially (beside Jesus)? What did they do and how did they live in that way? What lessons can you take from that example to apply to your own life?
3. What would your version of this verse say? “Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing except”….
4. Are our values being molded by the world or God’s word and His standard? What has reign in our life? Where is evidence of the fruit of the spirit?
5. How can you as a group practice renewing your mind? Could you implement memorizing Bible verses? Could you implement a monthly service project? Could you implement a media fast? Think of ways you can foster renewing your mind–and put it into practice and discipleship to Jesus this next month!
Clarify:
Does anyone need clarity on something? Are there any big God questions you are wrestling with?
Celebrate:
Celebrate life’s successes and God’s provision. Worship God’s presence. Time to brag about God.
