Use these notes as discussion prompts for your group, or in your personal time with God.
Connect:
Get to know each other. Connect, warm up to each other, fellowship.
Care:
Carry each other’s burdens. Share life’s challenges and practice Soul Care. Pray together.
Challenge:
Dive into God’s Word. Use these discussion questions. Learn from each other’s insight.
- What are some of the things you like to do during lent? If you do not participate or have now done lent, what questions do you have about lent? Share with your group.
- Read Isaiah 52:13 through the end of 53 and share one or two words from the passages that you find hard to understand and ask your group to share thoughts and compare translations, are there any NT passages that help give clarity?
- Seeing that these passages given hundreds of years before Christ came offering so much clarity on who Jesus is and what He would, How does this encourage you personally in your faith? What kind of feelings does it bring up?
- Did you ever have a season where you felt dry or unexcited or even discouraged about your faith? What was it that spurred you on or got you back on track? If that season is now, what might you try in the coming weeks to reenergize your relationship with God
- How can Isaiah 52 and 53 be used as an evangelism tool? Discuss some ideas and ways it could work at home/work or in the community. Who in your world needs to be reminded of the powerful truth of Jesus this week, and how will you be praying for them? Share this with the group and commit this to prayer with one another.
Clarify:
Does anyone need clarity on something? Are there any big God questions you are wrestling with?
Celebrate:
Celebrate life’s successes and God’s provision. Worship God’s presence. Time to brag about God.
