Challenge:

Reflection/Discussion Questions:

1) What are some of the thoughts in the group about the phrase “No Mess, No Harvest”?

2) Have two or more people share about a season when you have felt like your time with God has been unfulfilling, lifeless, or dry? Or maybe you have felt that you were not experiencing spiritual growth?

3) Where can we see the Mess become a Harvest in the letter to Philemon?

4) If we use the letter to Philemon as a picture of a Mess that became a Harvest, how can that potentially be true in areas of our lives today? Give an example of a Mess that could become a Harvest? Is it a relationship that requires forgiveness and grace like it was for Philemon, or is it something completely different?

5) Is there a mess that is a struggle you feel comfortable sharing with your group today? Is this something that could be prayed about with the group?

Do you need an extra measure of grace today,  and could you share that with the group to pray with you?

Clarify:
Does anyone need clarity on something? Are there any big God questions you are wrestling with?

Celebrate:
Celebrate life’s successes and God’s provision. Worship God’s presence. Time to brag about God.

Through the Bible in one Year

Join us in reading through the entire Bible in one year. Each day of this plan guides you through passages from both the Old and New Testaments, allowing you to see connections between the history of our faith, and the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan. Readings average four chapters in length, so it is posible to do. When you use the YouVersion Bible App, you can even have the app read the Bible text to you – very useful when you are in the car or otherwise occupied with your hand.

All you need to do is click the link to the Bible Plan, which should lead you straight to the Bible app. Your two options are now (1) to read the plan on your own, one day at the time. Or (2) you can make it more fun and rewarding, by sharing the plan with one or more friends, and then even “Talk about it”.
