Update June 3, 2020
We have set a date for in-person worship services to begin on June 14th. Our staff is working and planning diligently to finalize all the details to make this happen as smoothly and safely as possible.
This decision is one that we did not take lightly and has included much prayer, discernment, and collaboration of our leadership. We have also been continuously monitoring COVID-19 numbers in our area to make the most responsible decisions possible. Thankfully, our county appears to be moving to yellow, and numbers may even suggest a move toward green in the near future. We believe that the current numbers support us regathering safely.
Pastor Bryce and Scott Huber walk us through the phases of Manheim BIC being able to reconnect with each other and the community in necessary ways. The leadership, board, and staff have been working really hard to put together systems and processes that will ensure the safest possible interactions.
A summary of each phase:
Phase 1
We move toward having the campus available for MBIC authorized ministries in groups of 25 and under starting on June 5. These groups will be approved to meet during weekdays only, so we can keep up with the cleaning and adjustments that will come with that. Keep an eye out for more specifics on our website this coming week. Read UNDER 25 Guidelines.
Phase 2
In a posture of listening to God’s leading, we are still working out the details of regathering when we are in green status. We are aiming for 45-minute, family-friendly services on Sundays at 3 convenient times. We will primarily use the Assembly and Chapel, with a few additional alternatives. The staff, safety team, and board have put an extensive amount of time and effort into preparing a safe and touch-free experience. For those who cannot or aren’t ready to regather we will continue to offer online, live-streamed services to worship with us. We will have more details and a date for this coming soon.
