Esther – Week 6

Esther – Week 6

Connect:

Get to know each other. Connect, warm up to each other, fellowship. What was a low point from this week?

Care:

Carry each other’s burdens. Pray together about the lows that were shared.

Challenge:
Dive into God’s Word. Use these discussion questions. Learn from each other’s insights

What do I do with Evil?

  1. Expect evil. “Do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you”    1 Peter 4:12.
  2. Endure evil. “Love bears all thing, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things”                 1 Corinthians 13:7
  3. Hate evil. “Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good” Romans 12:9
  4. Pray for escape from evil. “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil” Matthew 6:13
  5. Expose evil. “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them”      Ephesians 5:11
  6. Overcome evil with good. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” Romans 12:21
  7. Resist evil. “Resist the devil and he will flee” James 4:7

Clarify:
Does anyone need clarity on something? Are there any big God questions you are wrestling with?

Celebrate:
Celebrate life’s successes and God’s provision. Worship God’s presence. Time to brag about God.

Through the Bible in one Year

Join us in reading through the entire Bible in one year. Each day of this plan guides you through passages from both the Old and New Testaments, allowing you to see connections between the history of our faith, and the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan. Readings average four chapters in length, so it is posible to do. When you use the YouVersion Bible App, you can even have the app read the Bible text to you – very useful when you are in the car or otherwise occupied with your hand.

All you need to do is click the link to the Bible Plan, which should lead you straight to the Bible app. Your two options are now (1) to read the plan on your own, one day at the time. Or (2) you can make it more fun and rewarding, by sharing the plan with one or more friends, and then even “Talk about it”.
