Study Guide:
God is after obedience that is fueled by love! You can choose to grow in obedience by growing in love. Growing in love for your neighbor, the person that looks and sounds different, your coworker, or even your enemy. Perhaps, just perhaps that’s where God wants you to start, by growing in love towards the people that are scary hard to love.
This week, do a self-check-in the areas of your life:
God’s Call to Action
In what area of your life do you dismiss what God wants you to do? What is that one thing you are called to do? That place you are to go to? That hardened spirit that you are to give up? Where is God calling you to go? Where is your Nineveh?
Your Attitude towards His Calling
How can your obedience to Christ actively be fueled by HIS love for others? How can His love motivate you to go? Can you realize that God gives you grace -just like he gave Jonah grace? How does that change your perspective of His calling for you?
Your Action-Step in the Right Direction
What is the next step of obedience? Before you get thrown out of the boat, it might be a good idea to turn towards what God wants and take the first steps in the right direction. Write down one specific action step.

Through the Bible in one Year
Join us in reading through the entire Bible in one year. Each day of this plan guides you through passages from both the Old and New Testaments, allowing you to see connections between the history of our faith, and the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan. Readings average four chapters in length, so it is posible to do. When you use the YouVersion Bible App, you can even have the app read the Bible text to you – very useful when you are in the car or otherwise occupied with your hand.
All you need to do is click the link to the Bible Plan, which should lead you straight to the Bible app. Your two options are now (1) to read the plan on your own, one day at the time. Or (2) you can make it more fun and rewarding, by sharing the plan with one or more friends, and then even “Talk about it”.
