Reset the Internal wiring

Reset the Internal wiring

Study Guide:

Pastor Dustin kicked off a new sermon series: RESET. But before we Re-Set, we need to be set. What are you set on? What is your base? Your Foundation for Life?
Take some time for yourself and think through this list of keywords: Finances, Marriage, Friends,  Siblings, School, Education, Neighbors, Work, Traffic, Fitness, Health, Vacation, Future. With each keyword ask yourself, how does God play a role in this area of my life? In your group, share one or two keywords and how you want to center that area of your life in God.
Dustin talked about the need to reset, especially when our life is leading up to frustration, hopelessness, lostness, aloneness, meaninglessness, selfishness,… And here we are not talking about the occasional frustration in a single situation. We are talking about a constant frustration or a lostness that steals your joy for daily tasks. Share with your group how you are doing lately. What is your current emotional state?
Now read one of the following verses: Psalm 139:14, Isaiah 42:3, 1 Corinthians 3:11, Hebrews 12:2, or 1 John 4:16. How does reading your verse change your perspective on things?
Pastor Dustin wrapped up the sermon by mentioning that “Anything really worthwhile in this life costs something.” Wouldn’t it make sense then that we have our life anchored in something that does not change? God does not change. God is our rock. God is our firm foundation.
Is it time for you to reset your internal wiring, back to a personal relationship with God? For a moment, take the time to reset your internal wiring back to God.

Through the Bible in one Year

Join us in reading through the entire Bible in one year. Each day of this plan guides you through passages from both the Old and New Testaments, allowing you to see connections between the history of our faith, and the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan. Readings average four chapters in length, so it is posible to do. When you use the YouVersion Bible App, you can even have the app read the Bible text to you – very useful when you are in the car or otherwise occupied with your hand.

All you need to do is click the link to the Bible Plan, which should lead you straight to the Bible app. Your two options are now (1) to read the plan on your own, one day at the time. Or (2) you can make it more fun and rewarding, by sharing the plan with one or more friends, and then even “Talk about it”.
